Before releasing the iRT-5 to the public, we invited 24 golfers to test it against their very own hybrids and fairway woods.
The golfers’ handicaps ranged from 4 to 25, and their swing speeds from 57 – 98 MPH with the iRT. Despite their differences, every single player preferred the iRT-5 to his own club.
Here’s a brief sampling of their comments:

“With the iRT and the clubface as square as it stays, I was hitting it straight, much to my pleasure, about 30 feet higher and about 30 (yards) longer. The iRT performed noticeably, significantly better than the hybrids I’ve tried in the past. I can’t say enough about it.”
Wally Penner, 18 handicap

“The only reason I would change a club in my bag would be to have something that I can hit a little higher, a little further, and a little straighter, and iRT did all three of those for me today.”
Ron Durner, 10 handicap

“Even if I did come a little outside-in, which is my tendency these days, it seems to correct it and the ball seems to hang in the air much longer. This hybrid with Machete Rails is absolutely the best hybrid I’ve ever hit. I’ve never been able to hit one even close to this.”
Phil Buhler, 4 handicap

“I started trying hybrids a number of years ago and I would have intermittent success with them and go back and forth, but I never found a hybrid that I could count on, like as a go-to club to reach the green. This (iRT) I hit fine right from the get-go.”
John Halstvedt, 15 handicap

“With the iRT I hit it 20 yards farther and twice as high ball flight, so I’m going to have a softer landing when it hits the green. It was accurate. It was straight as can be. These Machete Rails are awesome. I hit it off the tight lie, hit it off the fluffy lie, no problem at all. It felt great.”
Maurice Lee, 16 handicap

“The best hybrid I’ve ever hit, honestly, hands-down, has been this iRT. I hit 20 shots with this today (and) 18 of them, 19, were pure.”
Dennis Dickerson, 16 handicap

“On some of my bad swings, I hit behind the ball and I still hit it square on the club with the rail system. Off the tee it felt really good. I would trade you right now my hybrid for this one.”
John McNeal, 25 handicap

“It just went through (the rough) like a knife on hot butter. It just sliced right through there. Very impressed. I’m sold, 100%.”
Michael Grunert, 14 handicap
